Hello
Sorry about the late notice. I just wanted to let you all know that The Lowbrow Tarot show opens tonight at La Luz De Jesus gallery: http://www.laluzdejesus.com/
LBT La Luz de Jesus Art Preview: http://www.laluzdejesus.com/shows/2010/Lowbrow-Tarot/Project2010.htm
Below is my piece for the show, "The Devil".
The ART of the LOWBROW TAROT
Opens Friday, October 1, 2010; 8-11 PM
Closes on Halloween.
The Lowbrow Tarot Project showcases 23 amazing artists who have used their creative genius and unique styles to take on both sides of the 22 Major Arcana cards to create 23 new works of art in the rugged glow of the lowbrow art movement.
The pedigree of this exhibition is such that we've been approached by several prominent international museums wanting to show it,
but this exhibition at La Luz de Jesus Gallery will be the ONLY public display of these works. With a published volume and corresponding Tarot deck on the way, we knew that the patrons who've purchased these works of art wouldn't want to wait several months to take them home -and they are selling fast.
The artists: Daniel Martin Diaz, Carrie Ann Baade, Christopher Ulrich, Edith Lebeau, Cate Rangel,Kris Kuksi, Chris Mars, Christopher Umana, C.C. Askew, Brian M. Viveros, Claudia Drake, Heather Watts, Molly Crabapple, David Stoupakis, Laurie Lipton, Patrick "Star27" ; Deignan, Chet Zar, Jessica Joslin, Danni Shinya Luo, Jennybird Alcantara, Angie Mason, Scott G. Brooks, and curator Aunia Kahn.
Closes on Halloween.
